The 2023 FIRST Robotics Competition game, CHARGED UP℠ presented by Haas, challenged two alliances of three robots each to score yellow cones and purple cubes into a central grid to energize their community. After placing pieces on the three-level grid, robots could earn additional points by balancing on their alliance's charge station in the final moments of the match.

RAPID REACT was themed around reimagining high-speed transportation and was presented by The Boeing Company. Two alliances of three teams each competed to score by shooting balls (called "Cargo") into high and low hubs, and by climbing the "Hangar" rungs at the end of the match. Robots also had access to launchpads for protection and could get help from human players at a terminal to load cargo.

Infinite Recharge was centered around a futuristic city theme involving two alliances consisting of three teams each competing to perform various tasks. These tasks included; shooting foam balls known as Power Cells into high and low goals to activate a Shield Generator, manipulating a Control Panel to activate this shield, and returning to the Shield Generator to park or climb at the end of the match. The objective was to energize and activate the shield before the match ended. This game was modeled after the movie franchise Star Wars.

The game, Deep Space, centered around an outer space theme taking place on Planet Primus involving two alliances consisting of three teams. Each alliance competed to place poly-carbonate hatch panels and orange rubber balls, or "cargo", on rockets and cargo ships before returning to their HAB platform to climb at the end of the match.
